Terms of Use
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of TeleDirectMD.com, including any scheduling tools, payment flows, patient portal links, and related services (collectively, the Site). By accessing the Site or booking a visit, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
1. Adults Only and Eligibility
TeleDirectMD provides medical services exclusively to adults age 18 and older. Pediatric care is not provided. By using the Site or booking a visit, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.
2. Nature of Telemedicine Services
TeleDirectMD provides medical services exclusively through synchronous video visits. TeleDirectMD does not provide care via text-only, chat-only, email-only, or asynchronous encounters.
Telemedicine has inherent limitations. The physician will determine, in their professional judgment, whether your condition can be appropriately evaluated and treated via telemedicine. TeleDirectMD may decline to provide treatment or may recommend in-person or emergency care when clinically appropriate.
3. Location and Licensure
You must be physically located in a U.S. state where the physician is licensed at the time of your video visit. You agree to provide truthful and accurate location information. TeleDirectMD cannot provide care outside licensed jurisdictions.
4. Identity Verification and Accurate Information
You agree to provide accurate identifying, contact, and medical information. TeleDirectMD may take reasonable steps to verify identity and location for safety, compliance, and medical record integrity.
5. Not for Emergencies
TeleDirectMD does not provide emergency care. If you believe you may be experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or seek immediate in-person emergency care.
6. Prescriptions
TeleDirectMD does not prescribe controlled substances. Any prescription, when clinically appropriate, is issued at the physician’s discretion and in accordance with applicable laws. Prescriptions are not guaranteed.
7. Fees, Payment Authorization, and Chargebacks
TeleDirectMD operates on a cash-pay basis. Fees are clearly disclosed prior to booking. By submitting payment, you authorize TeleDirectMD to charge your selected payment method for the professional medical evaluation.
Payment is for the professional medical service provided and does not guarantee a diagnosis, treatment, or prescription. Time spent reviewing your information, conducting the evaluation, documenting care, and providing medical decision-making constitutes delivery of the service.
TeleDirectMD may, in its discretion, review billing concerns. Refunds, if any, are not guaranteed and may depend on whether the medical service has already been partially or fully performed.
8. Cancellations and Termination of Visits
TeleDirectMD may cancel or terminate a visit if:
- Your location cannot be confirmed or is outside licensed jurisdictions
- You provide false or misleading information
- Technical issues prevent a safe evaluation
- Your condition is not appropriate for telemedicine
- Your conduct is disruptive, abusive, or unsafe
In such cases, refund determinations, if any, will depend on the extent of services already provided.
9. Technology Requirements
You are responsible for having a functioning camera, microphone, and internet connection. TeleDirectMD is not responsible for visit limitations caused by your equipment or connectivity.
10. Communications Consent
You consent to receive administrative and care-related communications by email, phone, or SMS using the contact information you provide. Standard message and data rates may apply.
11. Website Content
Content on the Site is provided for general informational purposes only and does not constitute medical advice. Medical advice is provided only during a scheduled video visit.
12. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the Site, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with Site operations, or use the Site for unlawful purposes.
13. Intellectual Property
All Site content is owned by TeleDirectMD and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Unauthorized use is prohibited.
14. Arbitration Agreement and Waiver of Jury Trial
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms, the Site, or services provided by TeleDirectMD shall be resolved through binding arbitration rather than in court, except that either party may seek relief in small claims court if eligible.
Arbitration shall be conducted in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitration shall take place in the State of Georgia unless otherwise required by law.
You understand and agree that by accepting these Terms, you are waiving the right to a trial by judge or jury.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TeleDirectMD shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site or services.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to conflict of law principles.
17. Changes to These Terms
TeleDirectMD may update these Terms at any time. Changes are effective upon posting with an updated effective date.
