  • Clear red-flag screening for emergencies

Common Pediatric Conditions We Treat Online

These are some of the most frequent pediatric issues we see by video. Each condition page explains what we treat through telemedicine, when we recommend in-person or ER care, and what parents can do at home.

What We Don’t Treat by Video

For safety, some pediatric conditions are not appropriate for telemedicine and must be evaluated in person or in the emergency department. These include:

  • Severe breathing problems or suspected asthma attack
  • High fever with purple or bruising-type rash
  • Seizures or altered mental status
  • Severe dehydration, persistent vomiting, or inability to drink
  • Head injuries, serious injuries, or suspected fractures
  • Any situation where you feel your child is in immediate danger

When in doubt, we encourage parents to err on the side of caution and seek in-person care or call 911.

Why Families Trust TeleDirectMD

  • Board-certified MDs only — no mid-level providers
  • Clear, honest communication about what can and cannot be treated by video
  • Strict red-flag screening for safety
  • Flat, transparent pricing at $49 per visit

We designed TeleDirectMD to give parents fast access to high-quality medical care for common pediatric conditions — without the waiting room, hidden fees, or uncertainty about who you’ll be seeing. If a problem is better handled in person, we tell you so clearly.

TeleDirectMD provides evidence-based pediatric telemedicine for ages 6–17, including eye infections, respiratory illnesses, rashes, skin infections, and asthma refills for stable asthma. All visits are with a board-certified MD, with clear safety criteria to guide when in-person care is required.
